Courseulles-sur-Mer is such a picturesque little town, and the beach afforded lots of good photos, that I just have to do a separate post of some pictures.

I didn't realize Angie took so many pictures in this town!! It really was a wonderful place to visit. There was an open air fish market, as it is a fishing village. All kinds of fish being sold. Also when we were there, there was a giant flea market going on where all kinds of stuff (junk) was being sold by lots of people. It was a very busy place and in fact, the place we stopped for lunch was not full when we entered, but extremely full by the time we left. We walked a long way on the beach, saw wind surfers and other sporting type things, had a nice conversation with the Canadian tour guides when we were in the museum, walked around and into the church and thru the cemetary and just had a grand time. I would highly recommend it to anyone, and Angie is right, this was a better choice than Omaha beach as the town and museum gave us much more to do than stand on the cliffs at Omaha. I found it particularly interesting to actually be able to see where the fighting took place and to be so close to something that was so important in world history.
Angie, truly amazing all the places you been, and the things you have seen and experienced!! Thanks so much for sharing it with us (especially for those of us who have never been to Europe, or much of anyplace else for that matter!)!! I know your dad had an absolute wonderful time there with you (I'm glad he was now able to fit in that small space), it was great to read about all you got to do together and thanks again as always for the wonderful and numerous pictures, your favorite uncle Bill
